CLIENTS ARE WATCHERS FIRST BEFORE BEING CIENTS

Don’t be surprised that client’s know more about you even more than you do. 

You see, when people are serious to check you out, they will go extra miles, They will even go to places you have forgotten about. 

This is why it’s important to always clean up your portfolio every month of irrelevant content & material that has nothing to do with your career growth.

It’s okey to get involved in po1itics, fun, argument etc, but also ask yourself this, what if a prospect visits this page, will they be comfortable with these content & materials?

A designers page should look like a designers page, direct and unbiased. And when I say Personality, I’m not talking about who you just are, I’m also talking about the personality of your potential as a brand designer, or you don’t know your character is the face of your brand?

If you love fun, if you really love fun so well, then create a second account and use it for that purpose. Some of us don’t even have a face for their brand, your profile image is using an image of Ronaldo, or animated icon that is not just you, I understand you love football and movies, why do you think status were created?

Some of us who even try to use their image, ends up replaceing it every one week, who are you trying to confuse? Your profile is not a gallery, it’s made to retain your identity and an identity is never an identity till it’s retained. 

You don’t retain your brand by changing your face every week, I’m not talking about WhatsApp, those are for clients who already know you, I’m talking about the wide space where person who come across you randomly today may still come across you tomorrow.

People will recorgnise you faster by the image they first saw you with, not always your name. 

At least twice in a year is okey to switch your Faceb0ok and Inst4gram acc0unt profile image, by then you must have given your returning prospects the opportunity to get used to you by face & then name also.

You personal brand is more important than the design you do Mhen. Get a real image and leave Ai alone, people want to connect with real humans not just for design, they wish to know it’s someone reasonable that is making their brand.

Cl1ents will always observe you deeply, profile you and even ask your friends about you. Some of us don’t have good relationship with people around us, you talk to people anyhow, and behave the way you like, isn’t that why you don’t have as much jobs, cus almost no one give good remark about people like that, it may be fun but hurts your brand, I mean you are working for people right, why you pretending you don’t. 

You must not pick a f1ght in every comment section, your career is important too, don’t ruin it and only end up getting jobs by chance or luck.

Stay qualified, don’t end up trying to prove you are not a sc4mmer, when your comments somewhere over there proves otherwise.

People will always love to work with people they can trust and hand over their everything to, clients are ited If one time service, they need a long term.

Designers no more just design anymore, it’s now more of your personality and relationships with those you are working with. Don’t play with that, be of your best behavior, don’t play.
