PACKAGING DESIGN

Packaging design is the strategic process of creating the visual and functional outer shell for a product, encompassing graphics, materials, and structure to attract customers, communicate brand identity, protect contents, and provide information, often involving steps from research and concept to prototyping and market launch. Effective packaging grabs attention, builds brand recognition, and influences purchasing decisions by telling a brand's story through elements like colors, typography, shapes, and imagery, making it a crucial marketing tool.

KEY FUNCTIONS

ATTRACT & INFORM: Catches the eye, explains what the product is, and persuades purchase.
Brand Identity: Visually represents the brand's values, creating emotional connections and loyalty.
Protection: Safeguards the product during transit, storage, and display.

USABILITY: Easy to open, store, and display for consumers.

The Design Process (Simplified)
